Between 14th and 17th of May, despite intimidating cold (for this time of year, that is), hundreds of book lovers arrived at the National Stadium to celebrate the Warsaw Book Fair. They purchased books, collected autographs and brought their families to see the beautiful stands – which all in all gave us hope that reading is not an extinct art!

DSC_0036Our three days at the Fair were filled with meetings with publishers (and yet still we found a moment for some bonkers photos as well!). Additionally, just as last year, we organized a seminar „Napisałeś – i co dalej?” (So you wrote a book – what’s next?), addressed to novice (and not only) writers. We told them about the difficult path a manuscript has to take – from the writer’s drawer, through publishing house, to bookstore shelves. As last year it turned out there are quite a few people with literary ambitions. Interestingly enough, some of them have already had some experience in publishing, which they were more than willing to share. Thanks to them, the Q&A part taking place after our formal presentations evolved into an interesting discussion. We would like to thank all of the participants for coming, and we are happy to inform them that we found Kamila’s shawl :)

We hope that our seminar will become a permanent element of the Fair’s schedule. Should that be the case, we will most certainly let you know on our website!
